Information
The Harpley Town Centre will be a key destination centre for the local community providing a range of commercial and retail offerings in a high quality urban realm environment. GbLA and the Consultant Team have proposed an high quality innovative urban and landscape design response that emphasises pedestrian movement and walking as a key mode of travel. Sensitive material selection, and the prioritisation of tree canopy coverage and health through green engineering initiatives also maximises tree canopy shading and tree health and was a key driver for this project.
Sustained healthy tree growth over time has been co-ordinated with the integration of key service infrastructure within the streetscape to deliver a well-considered and sustainable urban realm design response.
