The landscape for this the new Regional Allied Community Health Building at Deakin University provides an extension to the internal teaching and learning environments, integrates the building into its surrounds and provides connections to the wider campus.

The steeply sloping site is heavily treed and located by an ornamental lake. A large terraced deck, designed around existing trees, provides a large functional outdoor area with vistas across the lake and campus beyond. Generous stairways and a long ramp provide universal access between the deck and lake edge.

The entry forecourt provides large areas of paving and seating walls to facilitate the gathering of people between classes as well as terraced raingardens that are integral to the Water Sensitive Urban Design strategy for the project.
